The lattice is already seated: the City's atlas places its mages on the 64 vertices, and an instance seats its party from them (a persona per seat). What an instance brings back is a κ: a word. A word is a spell you can cast only if you have spoken it yourself, or the mage who first spoke it told you in their face — the words, their meaning, or only that they exist.
